Checking Out Files

When you edit a file through the VPME Menu Builder, Report Builder or an Object Editor, VPM Enterprise displays the Check Out Files dialog unless you already have the file checked out. The file you want to edit is selected when the Check Out Files dialog appears.

When you click OK, the file will be opened in the appropriate Visual FoxPro editing tool and it will be checked out in the Visual SourceSafe database. If you click Cancel, the file will be opened read-only.

Tip: The Check Out Files dialog will not appear if you already have a file checked out. However, if another developer has the file checked out, the Check Out Files dialog will appear. If you then click OK, the file will open read-only.
