When you use your application’s String Manager to create a String record and when you run the Language Builder’s Create String Records utility, Visual ProMatrix will automatically create String Translations records for each language in your application. All you will then need to do to complete the string translations is enter your translation text into the String Translations records using the String Translations form. You won’t have to manually create new String Translations records.
However, when you are ready to enter string translations, you may have “missing” String Translations records if any of the following occurred:
· You created a String record using the String Builder in VPME instead of the String Manager in your application.
· Your application created String records using the “Add Missing Strings” capabilities described in Add Missing String Records.
· You added a language to your application.
Now, you can always manually create the String Translations records that you need using the String Translations form. You can click the New toolbar button and enter the String ID, Use ID, Language ID and string translation. However, that’s laborious and tiresome. Fortunately for you, there is a way to let VPME automatically create “missing” String Translations records for you:
· Language Manager – Create String Translations: You can run the Create String Translations utility from the Language Manager to let VPME automatically create the “missing” String Translations records for you.
