A VPM Enterprise application has its own data-driven messaging system. All messages displayed by a VPM Enterprise application (a) on a message form, (b) in a wait window or (c) on the status bar are stored in the application’s SVPMMessage.DBF table in the SVPM database.
During application development, you manage the messages in the SVPMMessages.DBF table through the VPME Message Builder, which you can access from the VPME Tools menu or the VPME Toolbar. The Message Builder allows you to:
· View and edit the standard VPM-provided application messages, and
· Create your own messages for display in a VPME application.
Users of your applications can view and edit application messages using the Message Manager located on the Admin menu in VPME applications.
